CBD Oil Myths #1 — CBD Will Get You High

Hemp-derived CBD products have less than 0.3% THC and, therefore, will not result in feelings of intoxication.

CBD Oil Myths #2 — Urinalysis Tests Only Test for THC

While hemp extracts predominately contain CBD, they are not completely THC free.  Hence, we recommend that anyone who is required to not fail a drug test avoid all hemp products.

CBD Oil Myths #3 — You need THC to Activate CBD

Hemp contains many bioactive compounds that interplay to optimize health and wellness.  While there are many constituents of the plant, including THC that work together, CBD can also work alone.

CBD Oil Myths #4 — Hemp Derived CBD is Not as Effective as CBD from Marijuana

CBD is CBD, no matter the original source.  The human body does not recognize whether CBD is sourced from medical cannabis or hemp.  All the body’s biological activity, interaction with various enzymes, and receptors specific to CBD remain the same.

CBD Oil Myths #5 — CBD Products are Illegal since they come from Cannabis

Products that are manufactured from agricultural hemp are exempt from the federal controlled substance act.  Therefore they are currently not unlawful for disruption.  In addition, the CBD oils derived from agricultural hemp have nothing to do with medical marijuana.  In Ohio, CBD oil must be purchased through a licensed dispensary with a medical marijuana card.
