CBD Oil and Endocannabinoid System

CBD oil affects the endocannabinoid system and is personalized nutrition.  Just like compounded medications are custom made for one, individual patient, CBD oil can be a customizable nutrition supplement.

CBD Oil is Personalized Nutrition

The endocannabinoid system works within each, individual patient to promote homeostasis.  Therefore, the endocannabinoid system can solve a variety of problems.  For example, the endocannabinoid system helps promote homeostasis in the nervous system, muscular system, immune system, respiratory system, digestive system, circulatory system, etc.  Hence, the endocannabinoid system helps balance all bodily functions.  Hemp CBD Oil is a phytocannabinoid which influences your ECS (endocannabinoid system).  This contributes to an overall sense of well-being.

The ECS (Endocannabinoid System)

The ECS works in different ways for different lifestyles and people.  The overall goal of this system is harmony.  Think of the human body like an orchestra.  While each section plays their own notes, together they make a beautiful melody.  Like musicians in an orchestra, the body is made of different systems:  muscular system, respiratory system, circulatory system, lymphatic system, nervous system, endocrine system, skeletal system, digestive system, etc.  These systems all work independently and together to keep us functioning.  But what if the orchestra was missing its conductor?

A dysfunctional ECS

Just as the conductor plays a key role in guiding the orchestra, the endocannabinoid system (ECS) communicates with each organ system in the body via receptors known as CB1 and CB2 so that the body can function optimally.  Note: endo means internal, within.  The body contains these cannabinoids.  Just like in an orchestra, when all the systems are working properly a harmony is achieved and balance is restored.  That is the ECS’s goal, to restore normal balance within the body.

Cannabinoid Receptors inside Your Body

The brain and the gut contain, primarily CB1 receptors.  The rest of the body contains CB2 receptors.  Endocannabinoids (2-AG, Anandamine) are cannabis like compounds that stimulate these receptors.  The body produces endocannabinoids.  They also receive signals via phytocannabinoids like hemp CBD oil.

How to take CBD Oil

The big question when it comes to CBD oil is, “How much is right for me?”  When it comes to natural supplements like hemp CBD oil, there is no one size fits all.  Therefore, this supplement is highly personalized.  This is why a lot of people get medications compounded as well, because they want the medication to fit their needs.  “Take two and call me in the morning” is not how we operate at PharmaCare Compounding Pharmacy.  With these supplements, its always best to low and go slow.  Balance is found through practice, not perfection.  In the end, you have the power to take your health journey into your own hands.  You can see how CBD oil is personalized nutrition and how it can lead you down a path of wellness.  In conclusion, CBD oil can be used to help a lot of people.

    1. Hey Sally, thanks for reaching out.

Two weeks ago Ohio made CBD Oil illegal. We are all very saddened by this and we are hoping that the state comes to its senses ASAP. We have seen it first hand how beneficial CBD Oil is for a wide, wide range of issues. Until the state of Ohio comes to its senses, I would recommend you try this product: https://shop.stanleyrx.com/collections/cbd-hemp-derived-products/products/full-spectrum-cbd-oil-300-mg-10-mg-ml-30-ml

This pharmacy is owned by a colleague of mine and he is sensitive to our situation here in Ohio. When you checkout, use the discount code pharmacare to get free shipping. In my opinion, this product made by Ananda is top of the line and it will be what we sell if we are ever allowed to sell it again. This is 10mg/1ml. I would start by using 6 drops once daily on day one, 6 drops twice daily on day two, 6 drops three times daily on day three. And from there you can start to increase the amount of drops per dosage.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

  2. Can CBD oil help gastritis and intestinal issues!

    1. Gastritis is inflammation of the stomach lining. It is a condition in which the stomach lining known as the mucosa is inflamed, or swollen. The stomach lining contains glands that produce stomach acid and an enzyme called pepsin. The stomach acid break down food and pepsin digests proteins. A thick layer of mucus coats the stomach lining and helps prevent the acidic digestive juice from dissolving the stomach tissue.

CBD Oil has been used to treat gastritis symptoms. Studies indicate that cannabinoid receptors in the digestive tract, causing muscle relaxation, reduction of inflammation, analgesia, increased nerve-muscle coordination, anti-emesis, and relief of spasms such as those that cause nausea.

CBD Oil also has anti-inflammatory properties and recent research shows crucial neuromodulatory roles in controlling the operation of the gastrointestinal system, with synthetic and natural cannabinoids acting powerfully. Activating cannabinoid receptors has been demonstrated to inhibit gastrointestinal fluid secretion and inflammation in animal models.

But remember, CBD Oil is illegal in the state of Ohio and will carry a felony charge if it is sold and purchased outside of a medical marijuana dispensary. You can read more about that here:

Hopefully things change, but as of right now CBD Oil in Ohio is dicey. You may want to consider a high dose probiotic as well.
